Excellent online book reservation and renewal system. Reserve books, CDs, DVDs and Videos from the entire catalog then pick them up at your local branch. Seattle libraries have a great selection of children's materials.

Schools
Curious about the public schools your child may attend? Plan to visit a few when tours are offered, early in the year. The Seattle Times School Guide is the most comprehensive report available on public and private schools in the greater Seattle area. The Times collects and analyzes information from a variety of sources to help you select a school, or to see how your school stacks up.
Language
The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association(ASHA) web site is a great resource for information about children's speech and language development. It contains tips, fun word games, advice on teaching a second language, and developmental milestones.

Theatre
